On Tuesday, 26/11/2024, Fraunhofer IIS demonstrated its neural 3D reconstruction solution developed within the DSAI project at the NUMIX LAB in Munich.

The NUMIX LAB is an annual international meeting fostering networking, cooperation and co-productions. Its objective is to build a community for digital creativity and establish collaborations between cultural, audiovisual and technological disciplines.

The broad expertise of the attendees ranging from artists to producers, managers, and technology experts allowed our researchers to better understand the challenges of 3D reconstruction in applications related to arts, creative industries, and cultural heritage. This gained knowledge will help us to further improve the capabilities of our software.

In addition to the work resulting from the DSAI project, we also showed our VR demonstrator from the SocialSTAGE-VR project bringing real theatre plays to the homes of a virtual audience.
